Parent/Teacher conferences will be held on Wednesday, November 7 from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday, November 8 from 12:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. You can schedule your conferences online via Skyward Family Access starting at 12:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 30. Online scheduling will close at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 6. Conferences fill up on a first come- first serve basis.
As of Tuesday, an informational guide as well as some frequently asked questions will be posted on our schools website.
Conferences will not be held in the individual teacher’s classrooms. Conference locations are listed below:
6th grade- Cafeteria
7th grade- Commons
8th grade – Gym
Exploratories- Gym
Once you have completed your conference scheduling, please print off a copy of your conference schedule. You will NOT be able to print it once the deadline closes.

Entries for the Yearbook Cover Contest need to be turned in by Tuesday, October 30. All students are welcome to submit one entry. Click HERE for a flyer about the contest.
Intramural Boys Basketball begins on Monday, November 5. Permission slips and information will be available to on Monday, October 29.
Inter-State Studios will be here on Tuesday, Oct. 30 for picture re-takes. Students must return the unwanted composite photos for another photograph to be taken. Please remember, even if you don't plan on purchasing photos, please have your photo taken for the yearbook. The photographer will also be taking pictures of the boys basketball teams and cheerleaders on this day. Players should have their uniforms.

Monday, October 22 through Friday, October 26 mark our annual observance of Red Ribbon Week. In addition to other events throughout the week, the NMS Knight Crew has scheduled the following activities listed below to help our students creatively acknowledge their awareness of the dangers of drug and alcohol abuse.
Monday, 10/22 ~ "Reach for the stars, not drugs!" - Wear Pajamas
Tuesday, 10/23 ~ "Team up against drugs" - Team/Spirit Day
Wednesday, 10/24 ~ "Double up against drugs" - Hat/IPOD Day. Pay $1 to listen to IPOD (during Encore and Enrichment) and wear a hat.
Thursday, 10/25 ~ "Drugs and I don't mix." - Mismatch Day
Friday, 10/26 ~ "Red Day" - Wear red.
The NMS Knight Crew will be sponsoring activities to support Cancer Awareness Week. Students and staff are encouraged to where specific colors during the week to draw attention to various types of cancer. Additionally, for $1 a day, students may wear hats throughout the day. Money raised will be donated to the Sage Breast Cancer Center in McHenry.
Tuesday: Lung Cancer-Wear White; Wednesday: Colon Cancer-Wear Blue; Thursday: Leukemia and Lymphoma-Wear Orange; Friday: Breast Cancer-Wear Pink
All 7th graders going to Camp Henry Horner need to be dropped off before school at the back of the building. Sleeping bags and pillows need to be stored in a plastic bag with the students name label attached. Students may give any meds to the nurse when they arrive.
Students may be picked up in the back of school on Friday at 2PM.
Please do not block the driveways so that the vehicles transporting the luggage may depart and arrive without delay.
